How would you describe a body in a funeral casket? And why do the bodies look like big huge plastic dolls?
At my uncle’s funeral I still can’t figure out why his body never moved in the casket and when I went to view his body it was very still and his eyes were closed(I wonder why were they closed.Anyway was he aware of the things that were going on around him and was he aware that he was in the casket and that the service was going on?

Well it depends on how long after the death his funeral occurs..
The body does not move because of riggor mortis, its a condition where the muscles slowly start to shut down so they lose the ability to move after death.

The eyes are most likely closed by a person after he has died to make him look at peace.
And the body itself is slowly starting so shut down. If it has not already many organs will start to break down and the body will return to the ground from which it rose from.
